about the gainesville symphony orchestra
The Lanier Orchestra League was formed in 1978 to establish and support a symphony orchestra in Northeast Georgia. From the original 36 member professional orchestra, The Gainesville Symphony Orchestra has grown to 75 members and currently performs 4 concerts annually in Brenau University's Pearce Auditorium located in Downtown Gainesville, GA.
Funding & Support
Financial support for GSO comes from private donors, corporate organizations and goverment grants. The orchestra strives to deliver an exceptional musical experience to each of it's patrons and most importantly to the children of Gainesville and the surrounding communities. The Gainesville Symphony Orchestra is excited to introduce Jason Altieri who will be serving as an Interim Music Director for the upcoming season with the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra.
